Description
A hold ticket is a booking for a return journey with the goal of obtaining a visa. It is also commonly known as a dummy ticket or reservation. It's called a hold ticket because, unlike airline tickets, it's not paid for. A hold ticket allows you to apply, wait for confirmation of your visa grant, and then book your ticket—the reservation is often held in your name for a few weeks after you receive it. Hold tickets provide embassies and consulates with all the data they need to process your visa application.
